Hip Lift

  • Start in the side laying position
  • Keep a straight line, with your ear, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle lined up
  • Your top arm is in front of your chest, while your lower arm supports your head
  • Lower leg may be bent at the knee for stability
  • Bend top leg forward from the hip at a right angle and then bend your knee at a right angle

  • Take a deep breath in
  • Exhale as you lift your top leg as one unit towards the ceiling, your leg remains in the bent position
  • Your foot and knee come up at the same time, to the height of your hip
  • Inhale as you lower your leg to the floor
