On-line Orientation
On-line orientation is available to new students who are unable to attend an on-campus orientation. This orientation option is self-paced and is designed for students who have no previous college experience or fewer than 20 completed college units.
Be sure to print out and submit to the Counseling Office the On-line Orientation Completion Certification to receive credit for completing the orientation.

How to Search and Register for Orientation
- Go to: westvalley.edu/wvcportal
- Log In
- Under: My Web Services
- Click on: Registration
- Select: Search and Register for classes
- Enter: Term
- Enter: Location
- Enter: Subject – (Counseling)
- Enter: Course # - (000A)
- Submit (This will bring up all we offer in that subject for that semester.)
- Click on: the box to the left side of the course listing to choose your course.
- Submit (This will put the course in your shopping cart.)
- Take an action to register and submit
