Program Information

The Microsoft Office certificate programs provide fundamental training in word-processing and computer application skills that are currently in demand for most general office or administrative support positions. As these occupations now use computers to run applications such as spreadsheets, database management, word processing, desktop publishing, and other graphics, it has become essential to have training in these areas.

This program is designed to focus on Microsoft applications as a skills set, to update computer skills, or to add on other certificate programs. Gaining specialized computer applications skills can lead to career opportunities with a broader range of responsibility, with higher pay and greater advancement potential.

The general skills developed in computing applies across most fields of employment where the computer is used as a tool. Our goal is to help students compete in today's world of technology and achieve success in computer-related occupations in whatever field they choose to pursue.

We are here to help if you are:

  • entering the work force for the first time
  • re-entering the work force
  • updating skills for the modern office
