| Over 4,000 West Valley College students participate in Distance Learning each year. Also known as eLearning, or distance education. Distance Learning courses allow students who do not have the flexibility to attend traditional on-campus classes to pursue their educational goals. Instead, students work independently at their own pace and interact through various communication tools and technologies, including a variety of online resources. In addition, students can access a variety of online student services in support of their academic program. West Valley College Virtual Campus offers fully accredited online courses and telecourses (television courses) transferable to many four year colleges and universities. | |||||||||||||||
