The Puente Program at West Valley College

studentsThe mission of the Puente Program is to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to succeeding generations.

The Puente Program provides students with a supportive community and a sense of family on the college campus. Puente students help each other to achieve their goals and dreams. This is achieved (in part) by creating a learning community with English and Counseling. In the Fall Engl 905 with Couns 5. In the Spring Engl 1A with Couns 12.
