African Americans and students from other ethnicities often get left behind on the road to higher education. Our goal is to turn that around. Through a series of courses, tutoring, counseling, and access to scholarships, we are trying o increase our students’ chances of staying in college, graduating, and, of course, paving that road to a four-year university.

You could qualify for a SUCCESS scholarship. Find out about it and other grants and scholarships at Financial Aid.
We take our students to visit campuses like UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, and San Francisco State University.
We’ll match you with a mentor from one of the top corporations in the bay area as well as West Valley staff and faculty.
Our Transfer Center works hard to place African American students at UC, CSU, and private universities throughout the country.
