Course Description
The last of four courses in jazz dance, this course focuses on refining advanced technique, style, and finesse. Through advanced exercises, analysis and discussion of performances and choreography, this course builds upon skills learned in DANC 011, 012 and 013. The primary objective of this class is to build competence in advanced jazz dance technique, and to develop a nuanced appreciation of aesthetic principles in jazz dance, particularly as they relate to American musical theater. NOTE: This course involves significant physical activity.
