Course Description
This course provides overviews of the historical and political events of Shakespeare’s age, the religious and philosophical ideas of the Early Modern period, and modern critical approaches to Shakespeare’s works. In addition, students in this course have the opportunity to evaluate and critically analyze a selection of Shakespeare’s major plays and poetry.
