Course Description
The course is designed to improve the listening and speaking skills of ESL students at the intermediate level. This course gives students the opportunity to comprehend the significant details of familiar and unfamiliar topics spoken by a native speaker at a natural speed. Speaking and listening practice includes describing, answering questions, giving opinions, summarizing, discussing, speculating, predicting, and giving short presentations. The focus is on American English intonation, thought groups, connected speech, and usage of the 5000 most common English words.
