Course Description
This course covers the three-dimensional methods of creating workroom sample patterns using fashion industry professional draping techniques. Students have the opportunity to drape designs in muslin and fashion fabrics on standard industry dress forms, then transfer them into first patterns for apparel production. Students also have the opportunity to construct sample garments. Sustainable design principals are emphasized. Students are introduced to digital 3-D draping and patternmaking.
