Course Description
This course is a historical survey of rock 'n' roll from its inception in the mid-1940s through the punk movement of the late-1970s and beyond, exploring issues of history, generational identity, ethnicity, and the relationship between music, musicians, and society during this period. Extensive class listening helps enhance the learning experience.
