NCPT 103: Parenting Elementary School Children (ages 6-10)

Course Description

This course provides a general understanding of the developmental stages of elementary school children. Age-appropriate expectations are explored as well as resources and tools for supporting children as they grow. Parenting skills are presented and practiced to help those parenting this age group be more intentional, positive, and confident in navigating the needs of their growing child. A variety of topics are covered and may include developmental brain science, screen usage, social-emotional skills, positive discipline guidance strategies, healthy bodies, contemporary family issues, effective communication skills, and parental self-care.
