NCPT 105: Parenting High Schoolers

Course Description

This course was created to educate parents on the multiple unique complexities of high schoolers and support them in understanding their adolescents' needs. The course examines this critical stage of development and offers suggestions and support to guide each parent in using moments of connection to intentionally parent their child as they move toward adulthood. A variety of topics are presented and may include developmental brain science, screen usage, social-emotional skills, adolescent appropriate guidance and discipline strategies, healthy bodies, temperament, contemporary family issues, talking to children about hard topics, effective communication skills, and more.
