Course Description
This course introduces the student to skills necessary to camp and backpack using environmentally sensitive methods. Topics include equipment selection and use, wilderness medicine, navigation, planning and skills necessary for the backcountry traveler. Students have the opportunity to participate in field trips based on the current health and safety requirements at the time of the trips.
