Astronomy, the oldest of the sciences, is humanity’s endeavor to explore the greatest mysteries of the natural world. We seek to understand where we came from and where we are going: the rise and evolution of our solar system, the wellspring of the elements that make up our bodies, the possible existence of life beyond Earth, the examination of the distant galaxies, and the origins & fate of the Universe. Experience the sense of awe and beauty of the heavens in the Jean and E. Floyd Kvamme Planetarium, an immersive environment wherein we travel through time and space, across the solar system, and voyage to the edge of the known universe. In the science laboratory that is the Universe itself, students ignite their curiosity, develop analytical and critical thinking skills needed for success, all the while, developing their appreciation of the beauty of the cosmos and a lifelong interest in astronomy!
