Physics aims to understand how everything works at its most fundamental level, from the very small (particle physics) to the very large (cosmology). Physics is the cornerstone of the other natural sciences (chemistry, geology, biology, astronomy) and is essential to understanding our modern technological society. Students gain a set of incredibly useful skills as they learn to break down a problem and apply mathematics, computing, data analysis, and experimental techniques as they satisfy their curiosity about how the world works.
