Theater Arts

The Theater Arts Department provides a comprehensive program of theater/ film analysis and theory, acting, design and theater technology, and film/video production. Its primary goal is to develop student creativity and skills, supported by sound background in analysis, literature, and aesthetics. In an environment that encourages self-expression, each student has opportunities to participate in various Theater Arts specialties: film/theater analysis, film/video production, acting, costume/makeup, and stage technology. Students have the opportunity to perform regularly in the college’s two performance facilities. Students are prepared to transfer to four-year institutions and conservatories or to pursue career options, described below.
