Biography
Ana Fatima Costa's court reporting and legal career spans four decades: freelance deposition and court reporter; manager and later sales executive for three global court reporting agencies; litigation secretary; and office administrator for a forensic psychiatrist / expert witness.
Since 2008, she has trained court reporting students and newly licensed Certified Shorthand Reporters (CSRs) how to be reporters of record at hundreds of mock depositions and trials throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. Their duties include interrupting for the record; marking exhibits; and later producing rough drafts or final transcripts.
