Hello, Campus Community,
I hope your fall semester has been going well so far. It has been a wonderful start for me here at the college and I have enjoyed meeting so many warm and welcoming faculty and staff throughout my first few weeks. I look forward to meeting more people and to learn more about the work you do to make West Valley College a premier destination for our students.
I am very pleased to announce that the West Valley-Mission Community College District Board of Trustees approved Anthony O. Djedi to serve as our new Vice President of Administrative Services. Thank you to the hiring committee including faculty, staff, administrators, and a student for dedicating the time and doing your due diligence in finding the right candidate to serve our community.
Anthony comes to us from the College of San Mateo, where he currently serves as the Vice President of Administrative Services. He previously served as the San Mateo County Community College Foundation’s Business Manager and has held senior financial analyst roles for a diverse group of companies including Person Dean, Stanford Management Company, and BDO, USA. Anthony also worked as a teaching assistant in business law and corporate taxation at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics. He also received his Master of Science degree in financial engineering from the University of Southern California.
Originally from Belgium, Anthony is passionate about multi-culturalism in education. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, he has lived abroad on three continents including Europe, Africa, and now in North America.
We welcome Anthony as he joins us in his new role and look forward to the expertise and energy, he will bring in doing the work to serve our students. He will officially be in role starting September 26, 2023.
