Priority Eligibility

  • Students who identify as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander
  • First-Generation to College (parents do not have 4-year college degree)
  • High Financial Need

West Valley College is one of 51 California Community Colleges selected to implement The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Student Achievement Program (SAP), and is one of 13 colleges selected for additional AANHPI SAP training and support through APAHE. The AANHPI SAP is a state funded initiative intended to serve first-generation AANHPI students with high financial need. Additionally, the AANHPI SAP will support the development of strategies that align with college efforts to address disproportionate impact for AANHPI students

Students interested in participating in AANHPI SAP should fill out the AANHPI SAP Interest Form.
