The Associate in Sciences for UC Transfer (UCTP) is intended for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in a similar major at a UC campus. Students completing this degree:
- Will earn an Associate’s Degree from West Valley College
- Will be prepared to start upper division coursework at the UC
- Should be able to graduate within two years at full time status
- Is guaranteed admission to the UC system with a minimum 3.5 GPA
Important Notes
- Completion of major courses, IGETC requirements, and a minimum of 60 semester units with an overall GPA of at least 2.0 is a minimum requirement to earn this degree.
- While the minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required to earn this degree, some UCs may require a higher GPA to be competitive. Please consult with a counselor for more information.
