2021-2022

COPs engage faculty in the process of improving teaching and learning through reflective practice. They typically include an initial training session that provides needed background information on the topic, a partnership with a peer instructor, and a semester-long intention to change one assignment/unit/lesson in a particular course. Currently, we have the following COPs:

  • Transformative Teaching
  • Problem-Based Learning
  • Equitable Assessments
  • Cognitive Coaching

Transformative Pedagogy

In these two Communities of Practice, faculty will engage with the theoretical underpinnings of transformative pedagogy and consider ways they can work to change one lesson or assignment so that it more deeply impacts student learning. Equity and anti-bias education will be the intentional focus of this work.
