West Valley College College Entrepreneurship Club

The West Valley College Entrepreneurship Club is a student driven club which provides weekly meetings, workshops, tours, events, and an opportunity to bond with other entrepreneurial minded students throughout the West Valley College Campus. Led by Manny Cappello, the Director of the Entrepreneurship Center, students are given the tools, resources, and inspiration to develop their ideas and passions into reality.

Forum Series

Forum Series offered during the year are an important connection between West Valley College and the Community bringing together Entrepreneurs of all types. The forums start with a panel of expert entrepreneurs offering students and the community of entrepreneur’s insight into the mindset, challenges, and successful models of building a business. Breakout sessions are then offered to delve deeper into particular areas of building a business such as social media, marketing, building a business plan, financial planning, and Venture Capital offerings. Whether passion is the Fine Arts, or Science there is a budding entrepreneur across the spectrum of subject areas.

Study Abroad Program

The WVC Entrepreneurship Center of Excellence places special emphasis on national and international opportunities for students to gain a global understanding of cultures, markets, and entrepreneurial environments. Offering a for-credit experience, this program has been designed to provide students with leadership and entrepreneurial skills in an immersive environment so you can experience first-hand the extraordinary energy and creativity behind another culture’s entrepreneurial boom. Students will gain an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of developing a global venture. This learning is augmented by visits to technology centers, local start-up companies, and networking events.

Summer in a Startup

Want to get into the mind of a Startup? Join the internship program within the West Valley College Entrepreneurship Center. Get connected as an intern at innovative startups in Silicon Valley.

Incubator

The Entrepreneurship Incubator is designed to help create and grow young businesses that qualify by providing them with necessary support. The incubator accelerates the growth through an array of business support resources and services including physical space, capital, coaching, and networking connections.

Silicon Valley SCORE

The West Valley College Entrepreneurship Center collaborates with Silicon Valley Score mentorship and workshop program which provides small business mentors, workshops and library resources as you are creating your start up or have been in business for a few years.

Pop-Up Business

Test out your idea before you go big! The West Valley College Entrepreneurship Center encourages students to launch their temporary pop up business on campus to connect with customers, build brand awareness, keep costs low and test out your idea before scaling.
