The Interior Design Club is one of the oldest and largest student run clubs on the West Valley College campus. Our mission is to empower students to succeed through collaborative activities that foster career development and inspire passion for the interior design profession. While specific events change each semester, our overall purpose is consistent – to provide students with fun filled educational/social events, museum and firm tours, and other growth opportunities. Also, through strong support from professional organizations like ASID, NKBA, and IIDA, we have access to CEUs and many opportunities to create relationships with local vendors and award winning design professionals.
The West Valley College Interior Design Club (WVCIDC) empowers students to succeed through collaborative activities that foster career development and inspires passion for the profession. This goal is accomplished by building on the foundation of education, experience, development, and leadership. The Interior Design Club is the liaison between student life and the professional world. While specific events change each semester, the overall purpose is consistent—to provide students with educational events, museum and firm tours, scholarships, and through ASID, IIDA, and NKBA, additional learning and networking opportunities, at little or no cost.
The Club maintains the Design Resource Center located in CIL 127 of the Cilker Art and Design Building. The Library provides both samples and literature of finishes and furnishings to fulfill project requirements. We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain the Resource center and acquire design materials.
