We are looking for two West Valley College students who would like to write inspirational speeches for our FIRST-EVER Latino & Hispanic graduation ceremony. To apply to speak to your graduating class you must be graduating/transferring from WVC in Spring 2024 and you must want to deliver your speech in all English or all Spanish or all in an Indigenous dialect.
The Office of Student Needs will be providing FREE 20 minute photoshoot sessions to currently enrolled WVC Students who will be graduating Spring 2023. There will be a cap and gown available to your to use for the shoot.
If you are finding yourself in need of assistance to buy a cap & gown and are NOT an EOPS student, please complete the form below to see if you qualify for assistance. CNE has a Latino/a/e/x & Hispanic cultural focus in the celebration and personalized. Students are encouraged to participate in both graduations.
You can sign up by going to the CNE graduation website and completing the RSVP form by May 5, 2024.

Yes, families and friends are welcomed!
Families and friends can park in parking lot 4 and 5 and do not have to pay for parking. Please ensure that all your guest park in lot 4 or lot 5 to not receive a parking citation.
West Valley College is committed to providing disability-accessible events and activities. If you have a disability access need, (e.g., enlarged print, wheelchair access, or a Sign Language Interpreter, etc.), please contact (Tania Pichardo ([email protected]) prior to the event, preferably three business days in advance to allow time for coordination.
All food and beverages will be free for students and guest.
No balloons, banners, or horns will not be permitted inside the building. There will be an outdoor table, where balloons and banners can be placed until the end of the ceremony.
We appreciate all the help we can get to make this first annual event go smoothly for our Latine/ Hispanic graduates.
