Showcasing student demonstrations and work in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analysis, engineering, physics, green energy and wildlife conservation – located in the Science & Math Building, Courtyard, Outdoor Stage, and Kvamme Planetarium.
The STEM EXPO is a one-day public event that highlights student work throughout West Valley College’s School of Science and Math. The EXPO will showcase student demonstrations and work in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analysis, engineering, physics, green energy, and wildlife conservation.
The EXPO will be open from 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM for self-guided tours. The program begins at 5:30 PM with a brief welcome by the Dean of the School of Science and Math, Mel Vaughn in front of the Kvamme Planetarium. Following the Dean’s welcome, guests are invited by our Science and Math students to explore and learn new concepts through various demonstrations and activities to exhibit their work.

Watch our students in the Science and Math Courtyard and the Physics lab room perform various demonstrations of the applications of physics, astronomy, oceanography, and geology in the natural world around us.
Kvamme Planetarium Exhibit Tour and Shows
Join us for a beautiful and breathtaking experience in the state-of-the-art Kvamme Planetarium. Shows start at 6:00p and 7:30p. The shows are free during the EXPO. An RSVP is required as seating is limited.
