Greek Hellenic

Is an Indo-European language spoken primarily in Greece. It has the longest, well-documented history, from the 14th century B.C. to the present. Classical Greek and modern Greek use the Greek alphabet (from about 1000 B.C.) Greek is spoken today by about 15 million people in Greece, Cyprus and parts of the former Yugoslavia.
