  • Sit up with your legs crossed
  • Have a slight pelvic tilt
  • Keep a straight back, with your ear, shoulder, and hip lined up
  • Take a deep breath in
  • Exhale as you lower your ear to your shoulder, keeping both shoulders pressed down
  • Inhale while your ear is on your shoulder
  • Exhale as you repeat the stretch on the other side

  • Additional stretch: Rest your corresponding arm on top of your head while your ear is lowered to your shoulder
