Outreach: Concurrent Enrollment

Summer and Fall Semester 2013

Summer Session - starts: June 3 - July 11 (6 weeks)
                                     & June 17 - July 25 (6 weeks)

Fall Semester - August 24 - December 14 (16 weeks)

 

High school students who have completed the 10th grade are eligible to apply for admission.

1. Beginning April 1, 2013  apply for admission online  at westvalley.edu/apply, Apply Today! 
   NOTE: Concurrent Enrollment students must re-apply for admission each semester. 
2. 72 hours after completing online application: check your email for your West Valley ID number. Add it to your paperwork.
3. Review class offerings, click on schedule of classes. Be sure that you are checking for correct term - fall, spring, or summer.
4. Print the Concurrent Enrollment Form and Health Form.
5. Complete the forms and acquire approvals
6. Submit the forms and your high school transcript to the Admissions Office at the time of registration.
   NOTE: except for the admissions application, all Concurrent Enrollment transactions must be done in person.

Assessment tests:

• Check to see if your class requires an assessment test. Questions: Call the Assessment Office at 408.741.2035.
• Go to westvalley.edu/admissions/assessment/ for testing dates and times.
• Arrive 15 minutes early. Bring money ($3.00) for parking, a photo Id, your West Valley ID number and a couple of pencils. Note: No late admittance after the testing session begins.

Prerequisites:

• Check the Schedule of Classes under the class description for prerequisite requirements. Questions: Call the Counseling Office at 408.741.2009.
• If your class requires a prerequisite, bring a copy of your unofficial transcript to the West Valley Counseling Office prior to your registration date. Write your West Valley ID Number and the course you want to take on your transcripts. Transcripts can be from a high school or a college.

Registration for Summer: Seniors
Monday, May 20 between 1pm - 5:30pm: Bring your paperwork, your transcript and a photo ID to West Valley Admissions Office to register for class.

Registration for Summer: Juniors
Tuesday, May 21 between 1pm - 5:30pm: Bring your paperwork, your transcript and a photo ID to West Valley Admissions Office to register for class.

Registration for Fall: Seniors
Monday, August 12 between 1pm - 5:30pm: Bring your paperwork, your transcript and a photo ID to West Valley Admissions Office to register for class.

Registration for Fall: Juniors
Tuesday, August 13 between 1pm - 5:30pm: Bring your paperwork, your transcript and a photo ID to West Valley Admissions Office to register for class.
