One of two choirs in the Department of Music & Dance, the Concert Choir is the major ensemble for voice majors and is open by audition to non-majors as well. In addition to exploring the canon of choral literature over the ages and across cultures, the West Valley College Concert Choir regularly joins with The Winchester Orchestra to perform major choral/orchestral works.
Over the past several years the choir has performed such masterpieces as Handel Messiah, Bach Magnificat, Vivaldi Gloria, Mozart Coronation Mass, Mozart Requiem, Beethoven Symphony No. 9 Ode to Joy, Schubert Mass in G, Mendelssohn Symphony No. 2 Hymn of Praise, Bruckner Te Deum, Gounod Messe Solennelle, Fauré Requiem, Duruflé Requiem, and Bernstein Chichester Psalms.
