Hearing Protection

Musculoskeletal injuries are not uncommon for musicians. These include nerve damage from repetitive motion, poor posture, or poor technique; lower back strain from moving equipment, and many others that are not so common. Information about those injuries can be found in the Music Student Handbook.

However, the most feared injury for a musician is the loss of hearing. It is important enough to warrant its own page. This information is provided for all students, regardless of major, to learn the importance of maintaining good hearing health. Please read the information and watch the videos.
